金诺故事| 金诺在LAW的十年（第八话）

前情回顾

在国际化这个问题上，行业内有不同的做法，我们则以通过国际交流，建立起广泛的国际网络。所以后来有人说你成国际人了，我说我们不是“国际人”，我们是“国际上有人”。这样的投入或许并不直接给你带来多少国际业务，但其综合效应却是无法估量的。

酒酣之后，大家开始热闹起来，两个活宝Steve & Ron又开始勾肩搭背，来自呼和浩特的塔娜开始唱起了蒙古歌，我则大声地冲着联盟主席Bill喊中文，Bill立刻毫不犹豫地回答：Yes, you are absolutely right。

另一件重要正事是金诺申请主办2012年亚太地区年会。我和白显月曾说天津应当感谢我们，因为我们，在过去的六年，全世界100多个律师事务所知道了天津，而紧接着举办的亚太地区年会，会让这些律师们更加深入地了解天津、喜欢天津。

“2012年让世界了解天津”

“2012年3月9日，国际律师联盟（Lawyers Associated Worldwide ，简称LAW）亚太地区年会在天津圣瑞吉金融街酒店拉开帷幕。会议为期2天，来自澳大利亚、新西兰、美国、日本、菲律宾、新加坡、马来西亚、泰国、印度、中国内地、香港、台湾等国家和地区的40名会员代表出席了会议。作为LAW的天津会员，金诺律师事务所成功主办了本次地区年会。”

东道主欢迎致辞

 首先要感谢天气，初春的天津还有些寒冷，而且风很大，把客人吹得有点得瑟，海河两岸也没有绿色，但毕竟没有担心的雾霾天气，让人还是能看清天津的风景，也给了我抒情理由。在东道主欢迎致辞时，我先说：首先要感谢风，给我们吹出了一个晴天，自打去年12月Bill和Hallie来天津考察，我真担心全球执委会取消我们主办这次年会的资格。最后我说：It is in early spring here, a little bit cold, no greens outside, no flowers, the only we have is our warm welcome。翻译成天津话，就是“大春天的，外面嘛也没有，就剩下俺们无比的热情啦！”

随后，我介绍天津有600年历史，乃天子经过的渡口，北京的后花园，历史上京城失势的人多来天津积蓄力量，等待时机（我特么在这等了25年了）。我说自从我们2005年与LAW建立联系以来，全世界很多律师知道了天津，所以LAW对于天津来讲有多么重要，我同样希望天津对于LAW也越来越重要。最后我用中文说：“让我们紧密团结在以比尔.萨瓦利诺为主席的LAW领导核心周围，把大会开成团结的大会，胜利的大会。”

主办这样一次年会对于金诺乃至天津的意义确实是非常重要的。在第一天的欢迎仪式上，当地媒体来采访了我们的联盟主席、副主席和秘书长，他们对于金诺以及天津给予了高度的评价：由于我们有金诺这样优秀的会员，我们对天津有着美好的印象，所以选择在天津举办亚太地区年会。

我们也向市政府秘书长报告了这样的会议。在会议即将结束的时候，主管金融和法制工作的崔津渡副市长专门挤出了周日休息时间在市政府接见了我们的联盟领导。恰巧崔市长刚刚从美国明尼波利斯（LAW秘书处所在城市）访问回来，会谈非常愉快，也让联盟领导感受到了金诺的影响。要知道当年我们举办这样的会议并不需要政府任何部门审批。最近，听说我们另一个联盟成员想举办2018年的亚太地区年会，还要报司法厅、公安厅审批，而且很可能根本不批，真是夕非今比啦。

WELCOME SPEACH

First of all, I must thank the wind that blows to us a shining day. After I received Bill and Hallie last December, I was really afraid the executive committee would cancel their decision on that Tianjin be the venue of the AP meeting. 

Welcome to our city, Tianjin. Tianjin is a city with more than 600 years history. It started from Ming Dynasty, when the emperor of Ming passed Tianjin by boats and marched to Beijing, getting his power. The two characters Tianjin in Chinese means the Port of the son of God. It is called the gate way of the capital as well as Northern China, because we have the biggest sea harbor in the north. It was also called the back garden of the capital. Peoples who lost their political power may quit from Beijing, resting in Tianjin, gathering new power, waiting for opportunity to rise again. ( I have been waiting here for 25 years). People said If you want to look at the modern history of China, which means the recent 100 years history, look at Tianjin. Many famous figures in history had their footprints in Tianjin. Tianjin is also called the museum of world architecture, because we maintained many old houses from different European countries. Because of the slow development of economy, they were not pulled down by the government. Tianjin has also many traditional folk cultures, handcrafts, cross talks, etc. It is a place to get fun.

Tianjin is also a traditional manufacturing city in light industry. Many Chinese know some famous brands of products, like bicycle, watches, food, textile, shoes oil, cigarette. Now we have cell phone like Motorola and Samsung, instant noodle, wine, etc. we have 10 thousands foreign invested companies in the city. We have several pillar industries like automobile, telecommunication, food and beverage, pharmacy. From 2005, Tianjin was pointed by the central government to be the comprehensive reforming testing area, to lead the renovation in some area like finance. So we are now the registration centre of Chinese private equity, which we have more than 2000 PE registered here. That brought to us many new businesses.

As you know, we built relationship with LAW from 2005. From that time, many lawyers in the world began to know Tianjin. So I told the media yesterday that the organization is so important not only to our firm but also to our city. I hope Tianjin is also such important to LAW.

It is in early spring here, a little bit cold, no greens outside, no flowers, the only we have is our warm welcome. We have plenty of Chinese wine, and more than that. Hope everybody spend a happy and fruitful stay in Tianjin. 让我们紧密团结在以比尔.萨瓦利诺为主席的LAW领导核心周围，把大会开成团结的大会，胜利的大会。谢谢！
